AURAS Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the AURAS mobile application and related services made available by YongSheng Wei ("AURAS," "we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using AURAS, you agree to these Terms of Service and the AURAS Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use AURAS.

1. Eligibility

You may use AURAS only if you can form a binding contract under applicable law. If you are below the age at which you can legally agree to these terms in your jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf.

AURAS is not directed to children under 13. Do not use AURAS if you are under 13.

2. The Service

AURAS is an iOS app for AI-assisted spoken language practice. It allows users to sign in with Apple, configure a nickname, practice language, and proficient language, participate in real-time voice conversations with an AI language practice partner, view live conversation text during practice, save words or sentences to Favorites, and review basic practice results.

AURAS is designed to support language practice and personal learning. It is not a school, accredited education provider, testing authority, professional tutor, medical service, mental health service, legal service, financial service, or other professional advisory service.

3. Accounts

AURAS currently supports account access through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining control of the Apple account you use to access AURAS.

You agree to provide accurate information when interacting with AURAS, use AURAS only for lawful purposes, and keep your account access secure.

4. Voice Practice and AI Outputs

AURAS uses AI systems to generate real-time voice conversation, language practice prompts, explanations, and related text. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unsuitable for your specific goals.

You are responsible for evaluating AI outputs before relying on them. AURAS does not guarantee any particular language learning result, test score, fluency level, or educational outcome.

Do not submit highly sensitive personal information, confidential information, or information that you do not have the right to share during voice practice or text interactions.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content and information you submit to AURAS, including your voice input, conversation content, nickname, practice language settings, proficient language settings, saved words or sentences, and support communications.

You grant us a limited license to process your content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve AURAS, including generating AI responses, displaying live conversation text during an active practice session, saving Favorites, calculating practice results, and supporting account or privacy requests.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

use AURAS in violation of applicable law;
use AURAS to create, submit, or request unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or infringing content;
interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of AURAS or related systems;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to AURAS, other user accounts, or related systems;
abuse, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise misuse AURAS except as permitted by applicable law;
use AURAS to develop competing models, services, or datasets in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights; or
submit content that you do not have the right to submit.

7. Account Deletion and Termination

You may stop using AURAS at any time.

AURAS includes or will include an in-app account deletion flow. If you delete your account, we will delete your account data from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to limited retention that may be required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes.

If you later sign in again with the same Apple account, a new AURAS account may be created.

We may suspend or terminate access to AURAS if reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, or enforce these Terms of Service.

8. Intellectual Property

AURAS, including its software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, product name, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use AURAS for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these Terms of Service, the AURAS Privacy Policy, and applicable Apple terms.

9. Third-Party Services

AURAS may rely on third-party services, including Apple services for account access and App Store distribution, AI service providers for real-time voice conversation, and infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, security, and diagnostics.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their independent services, terms, or privacy practices.

10. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you access AURAS through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

these Terms of Service are between you and YongSheng Wei, not Apple;
Apple is not responsible for AURAS or its content;
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for AURAS;
to the extent any warranty exists under applicable law, YongSheng Wei, not Apple, is responsible for that warranty; and
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Service and may enforce them against you.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AURAS is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We do not guarantee that AURAS will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or suitable for your learning goals.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, AURAS.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through AURAS or another reasonable method.

Your continued use of AURAS after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
